「小森林計畫」是崇孝近年來一直想執行的創作計畫，崇孝這幾年不斷琢磨山林各式各樣的畫法，他先從一些當代大師或是歷史知名畫家的作品學習，例如：英國風景畫的代表康斯坦博、法國著名的巴比松派畫家柯洛等，但總是覺得缺少些什麼。
後來崇孝身體力行進入森林，去爬山、去觀察，著迷於壯闊雄偉的山以及大片大片的樹林，覺得那些經典風景名畫缺少的東西，或許是尺寸上的張力，崇孝因此興起以大尺幅的方式將森林搬進展場的想法。於是這次展覽準備了「快樂的白楊樹林」、「百鹿圖」、「遠大前程」、「動物莊園」等四件大型作品，作品內容依然承襲了經典名畫重製的創作脈絡。此外，還加了一些小動物來增加畫面的可看、可讀跟趣味性，邀請觀眾跟著「嘟嘴男孩」悠然自在於森林中。
"Little Forest" is a creative project that ZHENG has been harboring in recent years. During this time, ZHENG has been continuously exploring various techniques to depict forests. He began by learning from the works of contemporary masters and renowned artists, such as Constable, the representative of British landscape painting, and Corot, a famous artist from the Barbizon school in France. However, he always felt that something was missing.
Later, ZHENG ventured into the forests, hiking and observing the grandeur of the mountains and the vast expanses of woodlands. He believed that what these classic landscape paintings lacked might be the sheer scale. This led ZHENG to envision bringing the forest into the exhibition through large-scale artworks. Additionally, he has added some small animals to make the scenes more engaging, readable, and whimsical, inviting the audience to wander through the forest alongside the " Little Fat Boy".
